Chateau Rocher Lideyre – The Rebirth

Philippe Bardet is responsible for the rebirth of this old vineyard that dates back to the Napoleonic era. Located in the village of Gardegan-et-Tourtirac east of Saint-Emilion, Château Rocher Lideyre’s 35 hectares (86 acres) are in the Castillon – Côtes de Bordeaux appellation area. In view of the age of this property, Philippe Bardet decided to carry out complete drainage of its clayey limestone soil using modern techniques.

The wine is characteristic of the appellation: it has a rich colour and is full-bodied and fruity. Château Rocher Lideyre wines are nicely balanced and full of promise, and can therefore be laid down for significant periods.
